Welcome to the Halton Centre for Child Care
The Halton Centre for Child Care is made up of a family of staff who have a genuine love of teaching and caring for children. Each and every one of them live up to our values and are truly passionate about their profession.
We believe that each child is a unique human being influenced by the values, customs and behaviour of their family, peer group, teachers and society. We facilitate a child-based emergent curriculum that believes each child has the prerogative to grow and develop in a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment. We pride ourselves on providing nutritious meals to our children made at our centre.
We are a non-profit child care centre in Oakville, Ontario with an emergent curriculum that focuses on each child as a unique individual.

"Our son attended two other daycare centres before starting at HCCC due to our family relocating, and HCCC is by far the best childcare centre we have experienced. What truly sets HCCC apart is the low staff turnover and the incredibly caring, warm, and experienced educators who create a nurturing environment for the children. Another standout for us is the food—HCCC’s in-house meal program is unmatched. Children are provided with a wide variety of home-made meals, including many organic options, fresh fruits and vegetables, and foods prepared without seed oils. We are deeply grateful to the executive director and the entire staff for making our experience at HCCC so positive. It is an exceptional centre, and we would recommend it without hesitation.

"Our daughter Sofia has been attending HCCC since she was an infant, and we truly couldn’t be more grateful for the experience we’ve had. As a new mom, I was incredibly nervous to begin the daycare process, but we feel so blessed that she was placed at HCCC. From the very beginning, the educators in the infant room welcomed us with open arms. We immediately felt that the centre would become an extension of our family, and that is exactly how they treated our daughter. The educators were so caring, warm, and patient as she navigated her transition, especially when it came to sleep routines. They supported us just as much as they supported her, always reassuring us, providing updates, and making sure we felt confident and informed as new parents. Now that she has transitioned into the toddler room, our experience has been just as wonderful. She continues to be cared for with the same level of attentiveness and love, and the educational programming is exceptional. She is excited to attend every single day. We also appreciate the nutritious, varied meals provided; another example of the centre’s thoughtful approach to childcare. HCCC is truly a fantastic centre with outstanding leadership and educators. "Halton Centre for Childcare has been an amazing partner in our child's growth. Since starting in the Infant 2 room in September 2024, our son has flourished in their safe, nurturing, and caring environment. The spotlessly clean and modern facility is an added bonus. The staff and management are truly wonderful; they supported us when we welcomed another child in 2025, helping our son cope with his new feelings. Shortly after that, The team went above and beyond to make our son's transition from the Infant room to the Toddler room seamless. They are more than just caregivers—they are family.
